Alan Wake Remastered PC Specs Revealed
Fans of Alan Wake Remastered are eager to return to Bright Falls with the release of Alan Wake Remastered less than a week away. There are rumors that Alan Wake 2 is still in development. This makes it a great time to support the down-trodden writer. Remedy Entertainment now has the hardware specifications for the PC version of the game as fans get ready for its launch on October 5.
According to the official Alan Wake FAQ Page, the remastered version will need at least an Intel i5 processor or AMD Ryzen 3 CPU, and 8 GB RAM. You will need a graphics card that has 4 GB VRAM (such as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960) or the AMD equivalent (the RX470). The recommended specs will need better hardware such as the Ryzen 5 or i7 processors and an RTX 1060, or an AMD equivalent, running at 6 GB VRAM.
It seems fairly standard for a modern game. It doesn’t seem to cost too much, so it won’t be too expensive. You can also find information on the FAQ page about the game’s graphical features, including V-sync and ambient occlusion. It seems that this is standard stuff for modern games. But, the game will not work with one thing.
It was recently announced that Alan Wake Remastered would not support ray tracing and Nvidia’s DLSS scaling. Ray tracing, which is an algorithm used in many AAA games to accurately reflect light and shadow depending on the player’s position, is a common feature in new games. Remedy stated that the remaster does not support this because it is too slow and would have required “resources that are being used in other areas.”
October looks set to be a big month for new game releases. There’s Far Cry 6, Back 4 Blood and the new Mario Party, along with Alan Wake. The original Alan Wake game was released in 2010, and it has been a treasure trove of classic games. The remake will give it an updated visual look to make it more modern, but it will still retain the feel and look of the original. This will please many gamers.
