Total War: Warhammer 3 Siege Rework brings Multi-Leveled Settlements and Constructible Baricades to Life, Traps and More.
Today, Sega the Publisher and Creative Assembly the Developer revealed more information about Total War. Warhammer 3’s siege reform and how battles aimed at capturing settlements will differ to previous entries in this series.
The most anticipated feature in Total War: Warhammer 3 is its siege rework. It will not only bring larger settlement maps, but also more variety than previous games. The first line of defense remains the wall, and the towers protecting them have larger capture areas. This means that the enemy will need to fill their holes with fewer units.
Total War: Warhammer 3’s Siege Rework aims to make it more exciting for attackers once they break through the settlement’s outer walls. The new Supplies resource allows defenders to use the resources to build towers, traps and barricades at certain points in a settlement.
Defendants gain Supplies by holding points around the settlement. These points can be used to build their own locations. Although towers and barricades can be taken down and the money spent on them returned, the process is slow and takes time.
Towers and barricades serve two purposes: to block the enemy’s advance, and to control the flow of their army through the settlement. However, they can still be destroyed by direct attack or by taking over the points they are attached. However, attackers cannot construct their own barricades.
Multi-leveled settlements provide new opportunities for ranged unit placement along with larger areas and streets that can be used to set up ambushes. Watch Total War: Warhammer 3’s Siege Rework. In the video below Cathay struggles to stop the forces of Tzeentch, whose roster was just revealed.
Total War War: Warhammer 3 will be available on PCs in the early part of next year.
