ELDEN RING CROSSPLAY – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CROSSPLATFORM SUPPORT
The Elden Ring’s confirmed release is making 2022 a great year for video games. This latest developer effort will include a large single-player offering, but unlike Sekiro, it will also include a multiplayer component. Players are now wondering if crossplay is available at launch, and if Cross-platform support allows for helping others and fighting on different platforms.
Crossplay by Elden Ring was an interesting topic before we learned more about the actual gameplay. Although the title was not widely known at first, it has been a popular topic ever since. However, now that we have seen more than 15 minutes worth of gameplay, we are much better informed about what to expect. This is what we know so far about cross-platform support.
We know that Elden Ring will not offer cross-platform support. Crossplay between generations is possible through its technical network. This feature is only available to consoles.
This means that PS4/PS5 and Xbox Series X/S owners can both play the games together. We expect that the launch will be similar unless something drastically changes.
There was no official announcement to indicate that Elden Ring crossplay would be implemented. It is possible that PC owners will not be able see their peers in the Lands Between. This is also true for PlayStation and Xbox players who want to expand their gaming experience beyond their consoles.
Although it’s not clear if this will change during launch or after, we’ll make sure to update this article whenever we find out more about Eldenring cross-platform support. We’re still waiting to find out more about the launch date, and Xbox Game Pass availability.
