Tobey Maguire Spotted in ‘Spider-Man’ Teaser
No one left who doesn’t believe that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire are returning for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Although I am sure that the film’s producers have denied it, take a look at the past few weeks! The return of villains from Garfield and Maguire movies was one thing. But did you see the latest trailer? Doc Ock refers to multiple Spider-Men. We also see Lizard being punched by thin air. This is a strong indication that a character was digitally erased from the teaser. Who do you think this character would be, other than Spider-Man?
This is the second Spider-leak that we have seen. Barkbox’s flyer appears to have accidentally given us a glimpse at Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man in action.
Barkbox is a monthly subscription for pet toys. Recently, the company teamed up with Marvel and Sony to create a Spider-Man-themed box. One Twitter user noticed Maguire’s Spidey hiding in the promotional material.
The raised webbing. The triangular eyes. This suit is the one from the original Sam Raimi trilogy. This suit was promoted for an official partnership between Marvel and Sony, which is undoubtedly suspicious.
Although there is a chance that this is a case of a designer using old assets and forgetting to remove older Spideys, it does seem a bit strange that he would be there. We’ll know for sure what’s happening when No Way home arrives on December 15.
