Fortnite Chapter 3 – Season 1 Says Bye to Pleasant Park and Retail Row
Fortnite Chapter 3 – The most significant addition to Season 1 is undoubtedly its new map. It adds many new POIs for you to explore and loot. It also eliminates Pleasant Park and Retail Row, two of the most beloved POIs.
Retail Row was only missing in Fortnite’s entire history for a short time during Chapter 1. It was destroyed by the volcano and replaced with the Mega Mall. It was reintroduced and moved east at Chapter 2, but it has remained a popular landing spot throughout the game.
Pleasant Park was, however, an integral part of Fortnite’s map before the launch of Chapter 3. It has seen some changes, but Pleasant Park was the only time it wasn’t called that until Chapter 2 – Season 4 when it was transformed into Doom’s Domain. The following season, it was reverted to its original name.
Holly Hedges and Lazy Lake were also removed. Flush Factory and Salty Towers/Boney Burbs, a combination of Salty Springs, Tilted Towers and Salty Towers, have been eliminated.
While this will be a big blow to Fortnite long-time fans, there’s a new map to look forward to, so hopefully, it won’t be too much.
Let’s not forget, just because Pleasant Park and Retail Row aren’t on the map right now doesn’t mean that they won’t become so for Chapter 3. Look at the effort they made to bring Tilted back in Chapter 2.
We know that the map can be turned, so who is to say we won’t end up with rotating maps.
