Development on Final Fantasy 16 is almost six months behind

Naoki Yoshida, Final Fantasy 16’s producer, has made an official statement stating that there is no way to learn more about the game. This is despite Yoshida promising more information before the year ends.

Yoshida posted a statement to the Final Fantasy XVI Twitter account, “I regret to inform You that I will not keep that promise because complications stemming out of the ongoing COVID-19 panademic have delayed development by almost a year.”

Although the move to a decentralized environment for development has harmed the development of many other games, including FF16, it appears that some delays were unexpected. Yoshida says that the game is progressing, but it is slower than they would like. He also explains the current priorities and how the game moves past the initial stages and into the middle. Yoshida says that their primary goal is to get as much experience as possible with the game to make it perfect.

In spring 2022, we will unveil new information about Final Fantasy 16. You can read everything we know so far about Final Fantasy 16 here.

Final Fantasy XVI has not yet been confirmed for PC. However, it is only a matter of time before Final Fantasy 16 arrives on PC. This is similar to Final Fantasy 15.
